To implement an aggressive product marketing and communications strategy that will boost the brand - UBA in the mind of its customers across Africa in-line with the global vision.
To build and drive an excellent customer service culture across the bank at all levels to both internal and external customers.

Role and Responsibilities
To develop and manage the Bank’s marketing communications and Brand strategy for Personal Banking Division
Conduct and develop extensive marketing and brand development strategies to generate market penetration propositions to the sub-segment target market (brand appeal, product appeal and social media channels, promotions)
Grow the bank’s customer base across Africa and ensure retention
Continually improve the bank’ marketing communications approach and improve develop incentive programs to drive the banks sales team to attain sales targets
Champion all marketing activities and promotion campaigns targeted at the sub-segment of the PB market.
Fully resolve all key customer service issues in the deployment of marketing communication models
Ensure optimal product uptake and usage by the Bank’s customer base
Make presentations if required to executive management on product marketing and communications strategies and activities
Provide strong, effective and highly visible leadership to the retail product team and equally empowers employees to identify innovative approaches to enhance organizational performance
Keep abreast of trends in the industry

Number of new customers acquired through marketing channels.
Profitability of the PB division
Profitability from Promotional initiatives
Number of products per customer
Minimum Educational level- First degree in creative arts, marketing, communications or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise. Higher degrees/MBA/professional certificates compulsory
Minimum experience- at least 10 year’s combined senior management and communications experience in an organization involving a significant number of people
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations activities
Business development and acquisition
Events & Product management skills
Knowledge of the bank’s policies, products, and services
Good knowledge of E-Media channels, and the Media/Communication Industry
Ability to evaluate needs of customers and determine what products or services would best serve
Good Negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information at all levels
Good leadership skills
Strong creative, strategic and organizational skills.
Result oriented, Problem solver – analyses issues, identifies priorities, creates and implements solutions
