True friendship involves RELATIONSHIPS. Many a times you hear people say " Oh he's a good friend of mine, yet they never make the effort to spend TIME with that good friend .

Friendship takes TIME : time to get to know each other, time to build shared memories, and time to invest in each other's growth .

TRUST is essential to TRUE FRIENDSHIP. We all need someone with whom we can SHARE our lives, thoughts, feelings , and frustrations .
We need to be able to share our deepest secrets with someone , without worrying that those secrets will leak.

Failing to be trustworthy with those intimate secrets can destroy a good friendship in a hurry.

REAL friendship is just like marriage. Marriage is also a type of friendship. The only difference between FRIENDSHIP and MARRIAGE is that with marriage you live with your spouse under the same roof, but with friendship , you do not live together.
BUT all the same friendship REQUIRES the same level of SERIOUSNESS, TRUST AND LONGEVITY that is expected in a marriage relationship, SO DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED.

PEOPLE assume that the marriage bond is more stronger than the bonds with their friends or relatives.
If this ASSUMPTION were true, why is it that SOME COUPLES GET DIVORCED BUT THEY STILL maintain THEIR FRIENDS and with their SIBLINGS.

REMEMBER TRUE FRIENDSHIP IS FOR LIFE.
