POSITION: HEAD, ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT (LEC/RE/HERM10/01)

This position reports to the Group Managing Director and Risk Management Committee of the Main Board, and has the responsibility of developing a group wide risk management strategy in line with the insurance business.
The position sees to the development and implementation of Risk – Based – Supervision (RBS) for the Group, development of risk policies and processes, and specific risk modules.
The successful candidate will ensure risk education and culture change from within the organisation, ERM implementation, monitoring and progress reporting, selection of Risk Management software, integration and monitoring while benchmarking risk management practice against international best practices.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

• Must possess a good first degree preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or allied areas.

• Minimum of 10 years experience in the insurance industry and must have been involved in operations, relationship management and risk management.

• Must have a strong understanding of the insurance business, both General and Life, and good knowledge of global best practices in Risk Management.

• The ideal candidate must have current knowledge of internal and external developments and practices to ensure that policies are innovative.

• Possession of proven project management skills, with excellent leadership skills and an ability to work without supervision.

POSITION: SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AUDIT OFFICER (LEC/RE/SITAO10/01)

This position is responsible for assisting the Group Head, Audit and Controls in planning system audit engagements, coordinating and performing IT – based business audits, designs and develops IT audit programmes in accordance with professional audit standards and preparation of annual audit plan.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

• Must possess a minimum of HND or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Accounting plus CISA professional qualification.

• Minimum of 3 years post – qualification experience.

• Have hands-on experience on auditing through the computer using Audit Command Language (ACL).

• Must be versatile and demonstrate an ability to work under pressure.

• Be a person with good communication, investigation and interpersonal skills.
