Computer Forensics

In this course, learners are introduced to computer forensics and incident response essentials. This course guides the learners on how to collect and analyze the digital evidence left behind in a digital crime scene. Computer forensics, the newest branch of computer security focuses on the aftermath of a computer security incident. The goal of computer forensics is to conduct a structures investigation to determine exactly what happened and who was responsible and ti perform the investigation in such a way that the results are useful in a criminal proceeding.

Entry Requirements

1. At least a minimum of mean grade C- in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or a Division III in Kenya Certificate of Education (KCSE) with a practical experience of 2 years in the Criminal Justice System / Security Industry.

 

2. Applicants aged over 25 years can register as mature students for Diploma programs even without formal qualifications, but must have other additional individual merits.

 

3. Applicant who do not have experience in the Security Industry and wish to pursue a career in a Security related courses and can not meet the minimum requirements are encouraged to join the programs at the certificate level.

Fee Structure / Duration of the Proposed Training Programs

1. DIPLOMA COURSE

Duration: 12 Modules spread over one year

Study Mode; one day per week / Blocks and Distance learning, Except for Computer Forensics which must be hands on practical experience in a highly authoritative computer lab.
