Ipas, a global non-profit leader in reproductive health, seeks to hire several senior marketing consultants for its Product Promotion and Distribution (PP&D) group for francophone West Africa.

Ipas products are innovative and are sold in over 139 countries. The Senior Marketing Consultant can be based in either the US or in francophone West Africa and will be responsible for ensuring the rapid growth and placement of Ipas products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:


· Implementing a strategy to work closely with the MOH, UN and other donor agencies to purchase and use MVA especially in relief efforts in at least 3 francophone countries TBD, and most likely DR Congo, Rwanda, and Togo. This work will include strong positioning of the product as a life-saving device for women at risk for maternal mortality.

· Working closely with NGOs involved in women’s reproductive health and reducing maternal mortality to improve purchase and use of MVA and the services they provide.

· Investigating and developing a strategy for pursuing tenders, including securing financing for tender for the selected countries.

· Ensuring that product training at that institutional and provider level is provided appropriately by either Ipas or other NGO organizations and builds services as well as leverages product sales.

· Conducting market research as needed.

· Reporting to the PP&D Director based in the US and working closely with Regional Ipas Teams to gather data, report results, and obtain feedback.





Qualifications
Requirements include a Master’s in Business Administration (joint MBA/MPH/MD degree a plus), at least 7 years experience in successfully growing sales and market share preferably for a healthcare product. Strong knowledge of a given country’s public and private healthcare systems. Ability to work well with teams with little supervision. Fluency in French and a local language. Candidate should have a commitment to improving global reproductive health. This is a renewable contract (9 months) consultant position at up to 40 hours per week; hiring range is commensurate with experience.
