Job Description

Resource should be technically strong, should posses more pro-active communication, autonomous, and should be excellent at writing scripts.

• Resources will develop pro-active and re-active Monitoring Tools with Standard and Custom monitoring.

• Tool will monitor application health, OS, CPU, Memory (all system and hardware health), synthetic transactions, database monitoring, backup monitoring, data warehouse monitoring, VMware monitoring, MS applications for corporate.

• for the reactive/alerting part, ensure that there is logic built in that will adjust to the fluctuating data.... for example on holidays the session count for a web server might be higher and this is expected so we shouldn't be getting alerts. Basically logic that can adapt. ( this would be something you create down the line)

• The system should be able to detect the problem and fix it by its own or even before the problem occurs the systems senses it and throws the alert as more appropriate or via operator initiated action.

• Tool will automatically know what type of monitoring points and thresholds to monitor once a specific server goes into production.

• Tools will need to be able to work with our current monitoring Tools - Sage in ticket creation, operator or tool initiated action and closure/escalation

• DB monitoring required .

• Create an application, hardware and OS CMDB type of Portal that people can view components of all hardware, OS, application, products.

• Architect/design/develop Tools that will assist in identifying Proactive and Reactive Network Issues such as duplex/IP/Network types of issues and outages . The recommended technology for this code would be Python as it is easy to develop in lesser duration of time.

• Create high level health dashboards per Property/application/ which indicated a problem and upon clicking it will take the user to description of the problem, which is something similar to drill down report.

• Make sure that the dashboard will render/display graphs of the data, not just display raw numbers



• Candidate should have good work experience in Python;SNMP & WMI would be an added advantage.
