Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


1) Responsibility for delivery of all projects related to data centre infrastructure in terms of meeting the defined SLAs, Vendor Management and 24x7 Operations Management.

2) Maintaining quality procedures, process & documentation for the same

3) Define policies for DC monitoring, including short and long-range, day-to-day operations, Production Change Control, Patch Management, Inventory Management, Incident Management, Vendor Management and the implementation of application delivery improvement initiatives.

4) Delivering effective 24x7 Data Centre operations and solutions which are proactively implemented and supported to address the growing demands of business.

5) Implement standards and processes that facilitate business alertness and the efficient use of technology investments

6) Deliver uptime and availability of Data Centre operations

7) Deliver quality focused services all driven to minimize anomalies to include Release Management, Change Control, and Incident Management for all systems hosted within Data Centres

8) Manage all Software and Hardware assets that are deployed within Data Centre Infrastructure

9) Implement Disaster Recovery plans and procedures

10) Develop Policies and Procedures Document, implement, and enforce policies for data retention, security, change management, and day-to-day system operation

11) Manage a team of system administrators who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of co-located data centres and related infrastructure

12) Set priorities and coordinate all daily tasks for system administrators; provide mentoring to team members, as required; and ensure compliance with all company and data centre policies

Age as on 01.11.2011:

Preferably between 35 years and 45 years.
 
Educational Qualification:

BE/B.Tech (CSE, ECE/IT) or M.E/M.Tech or MCA/MSc (CS) with Science background.
 
Experience:

Minimum post-qualification experience of 10-14 years, in the relevant area.

 
Essential Knowledge:

Should have good understanding of the complete IT infrastructure requirements & hands on experience in Networks & Data Centre, Disaster Recovery Centre, Design and Management preferably in the Financial Services / Banking domain, ITES/Technology domain. Vendor management
