Marie Stopes Uganda (MSU) is one of the largest non-governmental not-for-profit family planning organisations in Uganda. We are a focused, results oriented social enterprise that develops efficient, effective family planning programmes in Uganda. MSU believes family planning, a powerful and proven public health intervention, is one of the most cost effective ways to reduce maternal, infant and child mortality. The program's vision is to make a national impact on meeting the 41% of unmet FP need in Uganda through the increased provision of quality, accessible and affordable LAPM as part of a comprehensive method mix. Barriers to FP particularly for rural poor women remain varied and complex but are also surmountable. Through this program, MSU is proposing to address Uganda's high unmet need for FP and contribute to reaching further reductions of maternal and child mortality.
MSU is expanding and now wishes to recruit personnel to the following positions: Four Medical Officers, Eight Service Providers and Two Research Assistants, One Laboratory Technician, One Centre Manager, One Clinical Officer, One Receptionist, Four Transport Assistants. This is a two year renewable contract. Job Title: Centre Manager
Location: Moroto

Reporting to the Regional Manager
The Centre Manager's main role is to maintain the highest standards of RH, FP and general clinical services including HIV/AIDS services, expected by MSU and actively work to promote and maintain a positive image of the centre and community services and contribute to improved financial performance of the centre. The Centre Manager will develop work plans in consultation with support office.

Job requirement

Qualification and Experience:
• Registered nurse/midwife. Comprehensive nurse, midwife with a diploma in Administration and a TOT.
• BSc Nursing is an added advantage.
• Some management experience desirable.
• Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council.
• A minimum of 2 years' practical experience in an established health facility.
• In Moroto - knowledge of the local language will be in added advantage.
